Version 3.0 of the PSI has been updated to include pseudowords in the multisyllable word section of the assessment. Skills 1-9 will have slight modifications but will be administered in the same way. Skills 10–12 are replaced by NEW Skills 10–15, which enable teachers to assess the six syllable types using multisyllable pseudowords.

PSI 3.0 assesses phonics skills from basic to complex, in order of 95 Percent Group’s Phonics Continuum. The skills assessed correlate to the skills in the Phonics Lesson Library™, Blueprint for Intervention:® Multisyllable Routine Cards, and Phonics Chip Kit™ instructional materials.
