Our Phonological Awareness Screener for Intervention™ (PASI™) is a tool that ascertains exactly where in the Phonological Awareness Continuum that the student is experiencing difficulties. The Blueprint for Intervention:® Phonological Awareness was designed to provide a model for teachers on how to provide explicit, systematic, sequential instruction on 39 skills in two categories: Readiness and Phonological Awareness.

Because phonological awareness is a foundational skill upon which all of the other essential reading components are built, explicit, systematic, and sequential phonological awareness instruction is key.
